The LIAISON consortium will participate in the first edition of the IC2: Innovation Industry Construction Congress, taking place from 1–5 June 2026 in Santander, Spain.
Organized by key actors of the Spanish construction and infrastructure ecosystem, IC2 aims to become a major international forum for innovation in construction, infrastructure, digitalisation and sustainability.
For LIAISON, participating in IC2 represents an important opportunity to present concrete project outcomes to a highly relevant audience, as the congress brings together companies, universities, research centres and public authorities, and it focuses on some of the sector’s most pressing challenges, including circular economy approaches, resilient infrastructure, energy efficiency, automation and Construction 4.0.
During the same week, LIAISON consortium will also hold its final General Assembly, and it will co-organise an open event together with the CIRCUIT project, a joint workshop dedicated to circularity, digitalisation and low-emission solutions for transport infrastructure.
The workshop will provide a concise overview of the progress and outcomes achieved by both European research projects, highlighting innovative technologies and methodologies designed to support more sustainable infrastructure systems.
The full programme features a discussion around two thematic sessions: the first one focusing on Circular and Bio-based Solutions for Transport Infrastructures and the second one on Smart Solutions, Energy Efficiency and Renewables.
The event will create a unique space for researchers, infrastructure operators, industry leaders and road authorities to exchange experiences, confront challenges encountered by both consortia, and explore how innovative solutions can move from pilot projects to large-scale implementation in tomorrow’s transport infrastructure.
