Over 500 experts, policymakers, and industry leaders gathered in Brussels from 11-13 February for the 8th edition of the Results from Road Transport Research (RTR) Conference. As a key platform for showcasing the latest EU-funded transport research, the event provided insights into advancements in road safety, decarbonisation, digitalisation, urban mobility, and freight logistics.
Representing the LIAISON project, David Garcia (Tecnalia) presented during the parallel session on Road Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Circularity. LIAISON is developing innovative methodologies, support tools, and market-ready solutions aimed at transforming European transport infrastructure into a more sustainable and low-carbon sector. The project’s four key action areas focus on integrating circular economy principles, enhancing resilience, and optimizing maintenance strategies to align with EU climate goals.

By participating in RTR 2025, LIAISON engaged with leading researchers and stakeholders, contributing to discussions on the future of green, intelligent, and efficient transport systems. The conference reinforced the importance of collaborative R&I efforts in shaping the next generation of sustainable road infrastructure in Europe.
