A new dynamic governance framework for multimodal transport infrastructure

Categories: News releases

As Europe works to create a more sustainable and efficient transport system, coordination between modes and across the infrastructure life cycle is crucial. The latest deliverable from the LIAISON project, D1.1 LIAISON DMIGF Methodology – Initial Version, introduces a robust methodological framework designed to assess and implement circular economy principles in transport infrastructure (TI). Known as the Dynamic Multi-Infrastructure Governance Framework (DMIGF), this approach helps stakeholders move from ambition to action.

Data, Circularity, and Governance: A New Path for Transport Infrastructure

The DMIGF combines data-driven tools, risk assessment, and life cycle thinking to evaluate the sustainability performance of transport projects. It enables authorities, contractors, and other actors to make informed decisions that reduce emissions and resource consumption while improving resilience and social outcomes.
